Rates
Residential Service Rates: $15.87 for one County can ($7 per additional can)
Senior Rate: $8.27 (Age 65 and over) (Must Call Sanitation Office - We do not credit back. It's time of notification, forward)
Exemptions - Exemptions paperwork must be filled out with Cullman County Health Department then approved by Cullman County Sanitation. Once approved, you must resubmit paperwork every year to the Health Department between January and March for review to remain on exemption status. They may be reached at 256-734-0243.
We do offer services to come up the drive to pick up cans at the residences of residents who are physically disabled and unable to take their cans to the road if they have no one else in the home to take it for them.
To be put on our handicap pick up list, you must go through your doctor’s office and have them fax us something on their letterhead to 256-287-2081, explaining the patients inability to take the trashcan to the road. This must include the patient’s name, physical address, phone number, and an expected date of when they will be cleared to resume taking their can to the road, if their condition is temporary. If it is a permanent condition, please have the doctor note that on the letter, also.
We will contact the patient once that paperwork is received to discuss with them further the instructions for the can placement.
